Barcelona has been on my list of places to visit for a while now. Known for its great architecture, culture and food, Barcelona attracts many tourists every year. Between flip-flop wearing masses at the city’s beach, hipster art stores in the historic Gothic quater, and architecture (by Gaudí and others) resembling children’s books, Barcelona has a great amount of surprises in store. I loved wandering around the city, getting food here and there, and visit some of the main sights. I’m definitely planning on going back there soon to experience more of Barcelona’s magic!
Things to do and see in Barcelona
Definitely book tickets to go inside of the Sagrada Familia. It was one of the most inspiring churches I have ever been to.
Take a stroll through the old fishermen’s town La Barceloneta and relax at the city beach after a long day of sightseeing.
To see some of Gaudí’s architecture check out the Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, Casa Batlló and Casa Milà
The Gothic quarter is great for wandering around, shopping and good food. Also check out the Cathedral of Barcelona , which represents a great contrast to the Sagrada Familia.
